Privacy policy

This policy explains what RoomPlan.tools does with data when you use this site. The short version: your floor plans never leave your browser, and we do not ask you for any personal information.

The floor plans you draw

Plans are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. They are not transmitted to us, not stored on a server, and not accessible to us or anyone else. There is no account system and no login.

Because the data is held by your browser, you control it entirely: clearing your browsing data for this site deletes every plan permanently, and we have no copy to restore. Plans do not sync between devices or browsers.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are used. It is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records anonymous, aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, and a coarse country-level location derived from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored.

Cookies

This site currently sets no cookies. Local storage is used to save your plans, which is a different mechanism: it is not sent with network requests and is not used to track you. If that changes — for example if advertising is introduced — this policy will be updated first, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical request data needed to serve pages, such as IP addresses and browser user-agent strings, in its server logs.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. In practice we hold no personal data that could identify you: the plans are on your device, and the analytics are anonymous and aggregated. You can erase everything this site has stored by clearing site data in your browser.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it. Questions about privacy can go to hello@roomplan.tools.
